The Story of the Bombing of The Boston Marathon

The uneasiness, already riding high after two bombs, three deaths, and 72 hours without answers, ratcheted even higher in the Commonwealth Ballroom.

The minutes ticked by as the press conference was postponed once, then again. The wait came to an end when two FBI agents brought two large easels and displays to the front of the room at 5:10 pm on Thursday. After some time, they couldn’t wait longer to demonstrate the findings of their investigation.

The time had finally arrived when Boston and the world would be introduced to the men presumed culpable for the bombings.

Richard DesLauriers, the head FBI agent in Boston said, “Somebody out there knows these individuals as friends, neighbors, co-workers or family members of the suspects.” The boards showed surveillance camera images of two men, one wearing a black hat and sunglasses and the other wearing a backwards white ball cap.Tamerlan Tsarnaev
